The Asteroid 99942 Aphophis (2004 MN4) makes it closest approach to Earth (0.268 AU) on 8th August.
Those in the know will understand that it is worth observing.
Could those in the know kindly post images of their observations, they will surely be appreciated by those of us "not in the know"

I read blobrana's post as an encouragement to amateur astronomers to observe today's passing, that's why I asked for images.
Now that I reread blobrana's post, I think I probably missunderstood his words ; of course there is no doubt that we have to carefully monitor this asteroid every time we get the opportunity.
