Just watching the Horizon special on Mars ..... we had Mars Observer and MPL in the 90's but did they did they completely omit Mars Pathfinder just now??? blink.gif Seems to be focused on the missions that have failed.

It was a Horizon special on Horizon on Mars, essentially a re-presentation of old coverage of that story by that TV series over several decades, not an attempt to review the whole history of Mars exploration. In those terms I thought it was quite good.

But if you'd watched that you would have been left with the impression that there had been only one successful mission to Mars since Viking. Although I suppose it was interesting to see some of the old clips of VIking.
