Universe Today picked up the story and ran with a simulation I did of what might cause a spiral effect

Doug, congratulations for the beautiful, on-time simulation!
It's gone a bit viral
Nearly 200,000 views between the first and second version, cited on a lot of blogs, and picked up by The Daily Mail, and I just got off the phone with Discovery Channel, Canada, who want to use it in their 'Daily Planet' science show.
Congratulations, that's great news! Saw your vid on Bad Astronomer's blog, too. A useful shop window for your talents, I'd say...?
My ego doesn't need work ![]()
I kept shouting through to my colleagues in the next office "130,000"
What a Nerd, they said..
Nahh - a geek. With nearly 200,000 views on You Tube
spaceweather.com linked through to your sims one way or another as well.
Congrats on a superb video Doug... almost 400 ratings... great stuff!!!
I wish I could have left comments on - but for some reason youtube wouldn't let me reply or add my own comments - and the ammount of troll-like commenting that happened in the first 5 minutes of it being live was unreal.
Next time you should post the video on Vimeo. It seems like it doesn't attract so much "troll-like" comments like YouTube.
It also doesn't attract viewers. It wouldn't have got the 400,000+ viewers I've got via Youtube
Great job Doug a wonderful simulation
Same effect seen along east coast of Australia today.

Most likely the reported 'oscilation' of Falcon 9's second stage 'burp' firing.
