Unmanned Spaceflight.com _ Chit Chat _ Meeting Mr. Buzz

Cannot resist to post this:
Yesterday, in the town where I live, there was an event: a http://www.ilcielodiargoli.it/index.php/programma/moondream-immagini-ed-emozioni-dalla-luna/ organized by a local association, with Buzz Aldrin as special guest!
He spoke about historical Apollo 11 experience and also about his "vision" of future manned space exploration; he was very clear and straightforward.
The following picture was taken yesterday in Avezzano (AQ) by a friend, I am sitting near Aldrin and his wife... I cannot express what emotion/honor for me!

Great pic, Dilo, you must have been very excited to be there. Did you get to talk at all?

Absolutely no, I was in the audience...

he talked together with an old italian journalist who commented the first lunar landing in TV.

I've met and worked with Buzz on a number of his trips to Australia.
He's certainly a special person. His wife Lois is lovely and very protective of him.
