I guarantee that it will be visible only in the southern hemisphere, due to my own luck with comets.

I believe I was out of the country in China for the best of HP. I did get to see the recent comet that had a major outburst, but in general had crummy luck with weather and/or travel to foreign lands where "air quality" meant there were only 2 guys smoking in your conference room!
