Unmanned Spaceflight.com _ Chit Chat _ SAM-foolery and ”Rendezvous Mars” Curiosity Blog

Posted by: Tom Tamlyn Sep 1 2012, 03:11 AM

Forum member http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/index.php?showuser=3978 has posted a http://mslcuriosityjournal.blogspot.com/2012/08/green-eggs-and-sam.html to some agreeable nonsense from SAM co-investigator William Brinckerhoff, who has written a take-off on the immortal “Green Eggs and Ham.” *

Doc’s ambitious new blog, "Rendezvous Mars Science Lab Curiosity," http://mslcuriosityjournal.blogspot.com/, doesn’t seem to have been mentioned here, aside from an unobtrusive link in his .sig. It’s interesting and worth checking out.

* Did anyone else catch Principal Investigator Paul Mahaffy’s throw-away comment that SAM had responded to its initial "aliveness" test with “Sam I am, I am Sam”? http://www.space-multimedia.nl.eu.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7803:nasa-science-curiosity-mission-news-conference-august-27&catid=1:latest at about 17:20.

I'm flattered that you should mention my blog Tom (though I didn't want to make a fuss about it, call it pathological modesty wink.gif )

Nice blog! You might want to check the Atom Subscription button, though. Selecting it causes a file to attempt to download rather than give a link to the subscription page.
