Unmanned Spaceflight.com _ Telescopic Observations _ Pan-STARRS and Outrigger

This is probably off-topic since it technically does not fall under "Space-Based Observing."

Having said that, however, while noting Emily's http://www.planetary.org/blog/article/00000621/ about Pan-STARRS, I saw some http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2006/Jun/25/ln/FP606250347.html for the Outrigger project.

A new article today at SpaceDaily describing the optics for Pan-STARRS and the special construction technique they used on the chip to get good images.
