Glad to see these folk have a sense of humor about the somewhat limited variety in the conference subject matter.

To see what I'm talking about, look for the Monty Python joke buried in the second day schedule.

Glad to see these folk have a sense of humor about the somewhat limited variety in the conference subject matter.

To see what I'm talking about, look for the Monty Python joke buried in the second day schedule.

There does seem to be a jokester on the loose at LPI. Here are a few session titles from previous LPSCs:

Io, with a Dash of Titan
Martian Meteorites: Hot and Steamy
Khaaaandrules
Baby, It's Cold (and Windy) Outside: Aeolian and Glacial Processes on Mars
Martian Meteorites: We Come in Pieces
Mars Wet and Wild: Valley Networks, Outflow Channels, and Basin Flooding
CAIs: Refractory Direct to You

Okay, the http://www.lpi.usra.edu/meetings/polar2006/polar2006.3rd.shtml has just been "officially" released. Note that one can download entire groups of abstracts (by authors) as opposed to loading them one by one.
