This image, taken by the High Resolution Stereo Camera on board ESA's Mars Express, shows Pavonis Mons, the central volcano of the three shield volcanoes that comprise Tharsis Montes.

Nice pictures with approximately 14.3 meters/pixel

Shouldn't that be in the "Mars Express and Beagle" section?

I have seen images of this region, then in black and white before and with all those lines I tended to think that Percival Lowell would have loved those wiggly lines. tongue.gif
But yes even I understood they had a volcanic origin, nice you posted so I got that thought of mine confirmed.
