Oh yeah ! A selfie !! ^^ And I just love the way the Mast cameras are pointing, not directly toward the MaHLI. There is a pretty huge amount of dust deposition of the rover deck, I was pretty surprised to see so much dust O_o

What I find fascinating is the trails made in the dust by moving pebbles on the deck.

There are probably 50 engineering reasons why that is a bad idea, lol.

I'm more worried about getting bogged down in that dune if they decide to traverse it.

The left edge looks pretty shallow. Also they don't drive in sand anymore with virtually no slip rules in place, like what happened to Oppy.

Most of the consensus is ISON was destroyed by the Sun and what we saw fly away from the Sun briefly was the dusty debris. sad.gif

It's interesting how the tail does not point away from the Sun, like the convention images show. Is that because it's moving so fast at that point ?

Hmm ... a new tail should probably point away from the sun I would think (as in lovejoy).

If it's traveling faster than the solar wind the tail would trail, then eventually the tail will lead.

Well there you go, if the team were concerned about the wheels, then all of our concerns were validated.
Happy Thanksgiving by the way, to those that are celebrating it.

I was just looking at the SolarSystemScope model and I did not realise ISON effectively goes around half the Sun in one day that being the 28th of course.

Also they plan to observe comet ISON, if ISON survives it's trip around the back of the Sun.
