Curiosity drove 21+ m on sol 3633. Time for a comparison of the actual route with the detour (light blue) and MSAR-10 (dark blue) notional routes.

Reviewing the Mission Updates covering sol 3481 I realized the panorama's images were taken before the drive on sol 3481, that is, from sol's 3478 location, or very close to it. Thus, close objects' azimuths change considerably. This is the case for the ledge feature we've been having difficulty identifying. No more!
Take a look at these two partial panoramas obtained with the excellent Marslife.org viewer for sols 3474 and 3476:
Attached Image

As Curiosity approaches and takes the route on the right, the ledge comes into view. Unfortunately Marslife does not have panoramas for sols 3478 or 3481. But I no longer have any doubts. Here is a view of the features closer to the rover using "The Martian Way":
Attached Image

And the general view with all the features except Ciuff Hill which I doubt - but have no means of verifying - cannot be seen from this location:

Cheers

Hello again Glevesque,
Regarding your new questions, if we label them 1,2,3 from the left, I can confidently identify #2 as the unnamed butte on the image below, and #3, more tentatively, as the rocks in the small circle (perspective again!). I am less sure about #1.

Salut Glevesque!
Here are a few shots from "The Martian Way", hopping they will help you.
First, the area containing all the names in your annotated image

Next, a tentative identification of those targets you need help with

Finally, the target closer to Curiosity.

Curiosity drove a little over 17m on sol 3626, to the edge of "Area 2". Lots of targets on the sol 3608 location!

Updated the KMZ to sol 3622, in order to include the most recent targets. No move since sol 3608 but a drive may occur this weekend.

KMZ update to sol 3616, including the newly drilled hole and other targets.

The compilation of drilled holes can be reached from the GE left side panel, under "Science -> Locations and Targets -> Drill Locations". How to best explore this feature is explained on The Users Guide.

Curiosity has drilled its 36th hole in the "Canaima" bedrock target. Judging by the amount of taillings, it is a full size hole.

On sol 3608 Curiosity made another short repositioning move. Although it is part of the 3Q drives, I will not add it to the maps of my previous two posts, as the change in distance is quite small.

Here is an update of Curiosity's progress on the detour route (light purple) to the Gediz Valley Ridge. The route drawing has very little detail.
Also shown (dark blue) is the MSAR v10, that cut across the Greenheugh Pediment and its "gatorback terrain", which proved too hazardous for Curiosity's wheels.

Curiosity spent the first days of 3Q 2022 getting data from the Avanavero drill. Then it moved south-east and navigated the tricky Paraitepuy pass, between the Bolivar and Deepdale buttes, arriving at a large amphitheatre, the Marker Band valley that it is currently studying.
Here is a visualization of Curiosity's travels on the third quarter of 2022. In all images North is at the top.

The path for sols 3520 to 3608 (July 1st to September 30th, 2022):

The above in a wider context (since sol 2098, July 1st, 2018):

Belated update to sol 3601. A drive of over 16m and Curiosity is investigating a new interest area named "Area 2". Added many new target names.
I really wish I could have done it earlier...

QUOTE (PaulH51 @ Sep 17 2022, 02:25 AM) *
It's certainly interesting, but very challenging terrain 😊

The road ahead looks very rough, I agree

QUOTE (scalbers @ Sep 17 2022, 05:53 PM) *
We can see the motion toward the WSW between Jan's mosaic on Sol 3594 and the one just prior
...A similar animation with the official mosaics is over in the Greenheugh thread.

I like those! especially the longer one

On sol 3594 Curiosity backed out again, this time a bit more, then moved forward about 7m.
This seems to have solved the problem that caused the recent aborted drives.
