Does anyone know if the raw imagery for the newly obtained Apollo data is or will be available?

As with all LRO data, I'm sure it'll be on the PDS soon enough.

I was in Florida for the launch ( demoing Eyes on the Solar System for the TweetUp and for the KSC Visitors Center ) and saw it go early today :

VERY glad to have seen a Delta II launch - it's been the backbone of everything that excited me in exploration for 15 years!

It was audio only

No, Tisdale 2 is what we've been looking at for the past week or so.

hook up with StephenV2 to get an IMAX movie finished! smile.gif smile.gif

StephenV2 is militantly opposed to using CGI in his IMAX movie. Thus, despite the beauty, accuracy, splendor and grandeur of Nirgal's amazing work.....StephenV2 would not, by his own rules be able to use it.

no, i have been using Gimp since 2001. So sorry no help on PS .

Then why say anything. Seriously.

FWIW - I'm on CS5 and there's very little difference to previous versions. I can't think of anything since CS3 that I would miss were I to go back.

The same email that members of the Be a Martian website got that linked them to the preview of this experience also included a link for feedback.

You have your opinion, others may differ.

Spending hundreds of millions of euros and intentionally demanding a short surface mission is lunacy.

in fact approval for the mission (whether it be the network or another of the studied missions) is being sought at next year's council of ministers.

So it's currently unfunded.

The EDL testbed is, as Stuart has very well explained, pork. Nothing more.

It's right there in big bright blue letters on the page I linked to. You would have to click that link with your eyes actually closed to not see it.

I actually found that pretty interesting. It look's like doug left his mark in there with his rover model laugh.gif .

That's the only contribution I made. It's quite misleading in places ( always driving forwards, citing a 'battery percentage' graph rather than actual Whrs, some location labels being dozens if not hundreds of yards away from where they should be etc etc )

It's a nice toy, but I don't think it goes beyond that. The best words I can say are that it's clearly not aimed at an audience like this...I'm not sure what audience it IS aimed at though.

Kudos to AdamH for asking me first before posting about this, as it's a paid-for product - but I just tried the demo and it's FANTASTIC!!!

https://www.mannedmissions.com/download
(yeah yeah, the URL breaks the forum rules..... sue me wink.gif )

Get it - try the demo - it takes a long time to download that demo dataset, but it's worth it.

I'm pointing Adam in this direction to catch all your feedback!

It's impossible to tell if someone is being funny or sarcastic or ironic on the internet without gratuitous use of smileys, winks etc etc.

I've been having fun with their video feed - grabbing frames and stitching them when I can. Some almost worked as a push-broom when they're moving ROPOS on a longer traverse. I've even managed an anagyph or two. I wont fill up UMSF with it all, but I've attached a few, the rest I'm posting on twitter ( twitter.com/doug_ellison )

These guys are streaming live exploration of hydro-thermal vents from off the west coast of the USA.... and they're happy to chat via http://twitter.com/#!/VISIONS11ops whilst they're doing it.

It's utterly thrilling...I ended up taking screenshots and stitching them into mosaics smile.gif

It's not actually BC that's undergoing thermal vac...that would infer the real spacecraft is built. It's not.

From the article " A highly accurate, full-scale engineering model...."

I know this is a thread that could be politely described a fictional.....but that shopping list required a different LV. The last Delta II East Coast launch is GRAIL in 3 weeks time.
