Ditto, unfortunately.

But look out for a reprojection of Huygens imagery I did on to a planetarium dome in B'ham that they're going to use smile.gif

5.12pm Eastern is 10.12pm UK time. I'm not sure where you're getting 00:!2 frmo.

I can't imagine wind creating a distinct edge "flow edge" like that...

I don't think Stu meant spray, like mud out the back of a car in a muddy field. Just motion by churning of the wheels.

Just try churning really dry flour. It does things just like that. We've seen churning like this many times, with both rovers. There is no reason to suspect that there is any aqueous action involved.

Go and look at the FHAZ images over the past few months, you can see this pattern form as the driving took place. Ditto several times at Meridiani.

It's not ontop of the RTG - it's mounted on one of the trusses that stands up at the back of the rover deck. It's the UHF antenna for relay to MODY/MEX/MRO

Ulysses doesn't have any imaging instruments (but, amazingly, is still going!).

Cassini MIGHT be usefull.

Yeah.

Right.

Could always use the FL. I'd expect us to do 1 - 2 more drives to get to the next bit of outcrop before having some down-time to make the decision between left and right.

We've mentioned this many times before. Check the right and left eye. Compare them. If you think you've seen a 'star' or 'meteor' or something else....find the matching eye. For it to be a REAL object, it must be in BOTH images.

In this case - there are no similar star like features in both the right and left eye.

With Spirit producing an annoyingly large amount of power given her current predicament, the time may well have come to re-open the Gusev astronomy society. Anyone have any dusk / nightime observation ideas?

What might work as an anaglyph is the two mosaics together - as if your head was rotated 90 degrees.

He's highlighting the fact that DB failed to actually read EGD's post and used it as an excuse to push his non-aqueous meridiani theory which already has its own thread.

since they appear to be past the horizon - I can't see any bright parts in front of the ground,

I think with some stretching they will be there. Something that large over the horizon would have to be several KM's across.
