The rover backed away from the previous site. It seems to be somewhere in between that place (since sol 1305) and the one corresponding to sol 1302.
Check my latest update to the route map. |

We've heard about this already, but here's the official announcement. The rover's have another extension!
QUOTE NASA is extending, for a fifth time, the activities of the Mars Exploration Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity. The decision keeps the trailblazing mobile robotic pioneers active on opposite sides of Mars, possibly through 2009. 2009 - I like the sound of that!
