If it's not too late, please add my bet for sol 876.
Six driving sols on 864, 867, 869, 871, 874, and finally 876.

BTW, which is the prize? smile.gif

OT: And about the World Cup we'll talk again about that this Saturday, Climber. wink.gif

Update pool to Beagle crater for the Sol 867
CODE
___________________________________________________
Average speed            14.9 m/sol
Remaining distance     175.10 meters
___________________________________________________
Outlook arrival date: 878.8 Sol --> Jul 13 at 15.0 m/sol speed average
Outlook arrival date: 884.5 Sol --> Jul 19 at 10.0 m/sol speed average

Previous update at Sol 855

CODE
Average speed            15.0 m/sol
Remaining distance     334.40 meters
Outlook arrival date: 877.3 Sol --> Jul 12 at 15.0 m/sol speed average
Outlook arrival date: 888.4 Sol --> Jul 23 at 10.0 m/sol speed average

Outlook comments:
Well, as JPL has already started to upload the new version of flight software to MERs and it would make more driving soles restricitons. Besides, after the next outcrop at somewhat 40 meters, there seems to have another kind of land since its abedo has changed which is somewhat lighter than the present. I am not sure about what is the change but Bill seems to be of some fluffy sand according to his previous note. However, the arriving would be around the median value of bet which is 878 sol. The most probably that the arrival time would tend to be somewhat longer than 878 sol.

The simplest math would be to multiply your age by 365 / 687 which is 0.531

Someone else will have to work out the Earth leap years and the fraction of Mars' orbit that is +- 687.
