Some incredible images of fine layering in the rocks here, signs off cross bedding too?

Those are definitely cross beds, although on a very fine scale. It's curious, it almost looks as if it's indicating current flow in two different directions. (Some beds appear to dip in one directon and others seem to dip in the opposite direction.)
Does it look that way to anyone else? |

Not sure if they've just brushed this area or if it's been RAT'd, but they've moved down to the darker rock unit now:

What I find curious about those two images is that there is a a color change which trends horizontally between the rocks. But if you look to the right of the lighter colored area where the first RAT was done you see a darker rock. Do they both represent compositional differences in the rocks or is one the effect of weathering?
