Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) is an MIT Lincoln Laboratory
http://www.skyandtelescope.com/news/82074747.html A very recent discovery of a what appears to be 2 asteroids (in the main belt) that have destroyed each other, leaving a debris tail, bereft of any gases - so its not a comet! -------------------- CLA CLL
