Thick or Thin Ice Shell on Europa?

Seems to me like some nice eye candy for the purpose of getting Europa into the collective consciousness before the next flagship is chosen. |

No you just have a Jupiter orbiter make repeated flybys, and I would imagine it could be done more cheaply than some of these flagship mission. In fact, the one good thing going for a Europa mission, IMHO, is that it could be used to test a lot of rad-hard technologies needed for an Io mission
