Here is a grayscale differential shift 10E5S terrain model that might be useful for route-algorithm development.
This terrain model is for the region S of Victoria. There is no terrain overlay. The pixel brightness is based solely on predicted "drivability". (Black = good; white = bad). Rock pavement is zeroed out and considered like "parking lot", but the dunes on the pavement are incorporated into the model . The edge artifacts have been removed and background set to black (so's not to mess up any algorithms and make a "bright wall") Here are links to larger versions at 12.5% resolution: As a TIFF file (10 Mb): http://www.speedyshare.com/792752906.html As a JPEG (4 Mb): http://www.speedyshare.com/262238303.html Enjoy! -Mike -------------------- Some higher resolution images available at my photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/31678681@N07/
