This topic is for all New Horizons Pluto surface observations received after 1 Feb 2016.

Interesting to compare the geomorph map released today with with the early geomorph assessments produced last July:
https://univ.smugmug.com/New-Horizons-Missi...1--geomorph.png There was admittedly some lumping-together of terrain types on the early maps, but we were working with the initial lower-resolution LORRI imagery. --Bill -------------------- |

On the topic of lumping-together, or perhaps sicking together- Anybody else see something weird, eh gummy, at the distant scarp in the Lorri image? context image by wildespace http://www.unmannedspaceflight.com/index.p...st&id=38290 |
