A lot has happened and it seemed like a good time to start a new post. We will be staying in 53 day orbits until the project has a full understanding of the risks that may or may not be associated with reducing the orbit period to 14 days per our previous plan.

Last night, I've rendered three more versions of PJ-03 reprojections with slightly varying shading:
- Almost flat, - shading with gamma = 0.5 applied to illumination model, and - shading with illumniation model. The underlying illumination model is refined a bit in order to get more uniform results near the limb and terminator. Selected images are submitted to missionjuno. During upload, I encountered error messages that behaved a bit like conflicting hash keys in an almost full hash table. The same upload failed reproducibly, but changing file names or titles somtimes avoided the error: QUOTE Uh oh, we ran into some errors. ERROR (clam2) : Sorry - something went wrong with the upload process. I hope, that I'll be able to upload PJ-09 renditions this week. If not, I'm intending to post them here in the PJ-09 thread any case. |
