Would also like to examine some of these up close: I'm guessing clastic dikes with alternately expanding and subsiding material. I assume that this has been addressed in erudite analyses although I haven't been able to locate any, but with respect to the source of the MFU how confident are we that the anomalously high mountain with the crater on top, in the South just outside the rim (opposite the delta) is not the remnant of a volcano and caldera. The presence of such would raise the probability of flows from weak points in the crater floor and the presence of dikes. |
