Yes, congratulations! Currently her asteroid is in southern Pisces about three degrees due south of Epsilon Piscium. I'll give a salute in that direction tomorrow morning.

I knew it had been proposed by Rainer Kresken and Matthias Busch (they needed to know my birth year for the citation, and the Wikipedia page wasn't up yet) but had no idea when or if it'd be accepted. It's indeed quite an honor! Thanks, everybody. I'm pleased it's a main-belt asteroid and therefore no threat to anybody, at least for the foreseeable future

A little info on the asteroid http://comets-asteroids.findthedata.org/l/...74860-2009-RE26
OK people, so now we need mission proposals. Mission science, spacecraft specs, propulsion, power systems (solar, mmrtg?), science instruments, cameras, sample return system! Work out the trajectory. Crowd source funds for a piggyback on a launch vehicle. Build a mission control infrastructure, a deep space comms system, deal with planetary protection protocols, sample re-entry vehicle etc....
