I made a comparison between Spirit's traverse and the hiking I most commonly do, between my home and Monserrate gardens in the Sintra Hills (wow! it even includes a similar climbing!) and it is quite the same distance...
How curious is seing things in this perspective...

A bit rough but the scale is approximately right.
Based on Nelson's column being 165 feet.

Hey it's not my monument I'm from Ireland, we had our own Nelson's Column but it was err blown up and we now have a kind of abstract 120m giant needle.
Which is bigger than both your monuments. :-)

The Columbia Hills montage was amazing. I would now love to see a scale human figure (or building if necessary) in Endurance or Bonneville craters. This stuff is fascinating. cool.gif
