I recently noted that a new Mars Express global color map was made available (download link). I blended it with THEMIS global map, which resulted in this composite view of the Gale Crater. The contrast between "regular" surface and black sand dunes is really striking. |

It looks weird because Themis is mainly an infrared camera so its like a "multiwavelength" map
