joertexas, you have used a polar img. In polar we haven't the WESTERNMOST_LONGITUDE = 'N/A' and the EASTERNMOST_LONGITUDE = 'N/A'. If you add it, probably you can import the data: WESTERNMOST_LONGITUDE = 0 <deg> EASTERNMOST_LONGITUDE = 360 <deg> Just now I'm downloading a polar file for test it. News about this more later or tomorrow. Ciao VB |

joertexas, is possible that you haven't a correct version of Blender. If you use Windows, download from Graphicall a new version. Win 64 Win 32 These versions alredy have my script If you use a different S.O. search in graphicall a recent version and download again my script. Ciao VB [edit] Some trick for speed up in 3Dview Before you start the import, change the View port shading to Bounding box. After the import set in User preference system VBOs and now change View port sahding to Object mode. If you have a Series 400 GeForce video card, before to change VBOs, uncheck Double side in Object data. Last thing: if you change in Sculpt mode, you can gain some FPS. Thanks for the answer Phil, but it is strange, because now I can't found the wrong file. Now all the LBL file have MAP_RESOLUTION with <pix/deg>. I have an old file (PRODUCT_CREATION_TIME = 2010-09-15T00:00:00) with MAP_RESOLUTION in m/pix and MAP_SCALE in pix/degree, the file name is LDEM_256_0_180_0N_90N.LBL. Perhaps is changed from September Ciao VB |

I think to have found an error on LDEM 256 download from imbrium.mit.edu In the LBL file, MAP_RESOLUTION and MAP_SCALE are reversed, I Have checked on pds-geosciences Wrong MAP_RESOLUTION = 118.451 <m/pix> MAP_SCALE = 256 <pix/degree> Correct MAP_RESOLUTION = 256 <pix/degree> MAP_SCALE = 118.451 <m/pix> Someone can correct it? |

Here you can find a script for import LALT_GGT_NUM dataset from the JAXA in Blender. The name of the file to download is Moon importer.blend You can choice latidude and longitude and then the script import the date. All you need is Blender (not version 2.5) and the file LALT_GGT_MAP.IMG. Before to run the script change the path on the script (on the top/left of the windows This is an example. (Pay attention to the number of vertices, my max limit is 2 millions of vertices) If you speak italian you can see my blog, where I explain How to do Ciao VB |
