Depending on listener numbers, we're thinking either an official Doug'n'Jim fan club, or perhaps some merchendise tongue.gif

Thank for giving them a home Emily.

Suggestion for Emily: I don't mind downloading these the old fashioned way, but it would be *really* neat if there was a Planetary Radio Podcast, and these Jim'n'Doug updates were included. All the kids these days are donwloading the podcasts, you know. Even I am, and I'm usually behind the curve on these things. Seriously, Podcasting - think about it!

I look forward to listening to the interview.

I've looked into getting 'casts onto iTunes before, and it's not hard, but it's a bit convoluted. I'll look into it.

Wow, that was fast! Suddenly Planetary Radio actually has a Podcast feed! I don't remember seeing that before...

I haven't checked it out yet, but I will do so soon.

Edit: Sure, it's cool, but it doesn't have the Jim'n'Doug show. So a UMSF Podcast would be nifty biggrin.gif

Yup, Planetary Radio has had a podcast since we launched the newly redesigned site. It automatically gets podcasted as soon as the show is posted.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to set up a podcast for the Jim'n'Doug show. If someone can tell me EXACTLY how to do it and EXACTLY how to update it when a new show is added that would make a podcast of it much more likely to happen biggrin.gif

I think it's just a case of making a little xml file that refers to the new MP3 - given that I've already given TPS (well, Emily) more work in asking them to host them - I'll see if I can figure this one out myself.

As I understand it so far - basically I have to make an XML file that describes the MP3 - catagorises it - links to it - blah blah - then submit that XML file to iTunes for submission. That I can do all on my own - and host here ( it'll be TINY) then people can subscribe with iTunes or any other Podcast subscription software and grab it that way.
