A few years ago I used Midnight Mars Browser to view all my Opportunity images ( and Spirit ) now I know it's stopped scraping the images but is anyone still using it ? I think it's a fantastic program , what I would like is to download all of the images and put them in to MMB if possible to use it once again , where would I get a full package of images please .
Thanks in advance . |

I used to use MMB all the time, I sure do miss it as well. I haven't used it in a while because if I recall the updates stopped. If you put it in expert mode or advanced mode and have it download PDS images, it might still be able to do that. Unless the PDS download function is broken. Worth a shot. PDS images take a lot of disk though from experience, I have several external hard drives FULL of just MER PDS imagery.

James thanks for that , I think I tried everything though would you be willing to share a few images please so I can put in to MMB and see if it recognises them :-) Or maybe you could fire up MMB for me and point it to your images see if that works ? Ideally I would like all the images downloaded in highest resolution for my use on a PC dedicated to MMB , so my space PC , I already have it set up with a 2TB drive but can add more . |

Sorry for the delayed response. I opened up MMB and tried doing an update, surprisingly it updated. But looking at the metadata files, I think it was just a heavily out-of-date update. Not anything current because I havent used it in so long. I then went to try and PDS download and that failed, no surprise there. I'll play with it a little more because I could have missed something, but looks like it is as we have known for a while, that it is still dead.
