Recently (June 26) Rev193 Cassini imaged Titan’s North Polar region of seas (mare) and large lakes (lacus). The CL1 CB3 image below was enhanced a bit to bring out the darker regions and JPL Photojournal http://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA12811 and http://planetarynames.wr.usgs.gov/images/N...oboundaries.pdf were used to identify the major features. In the image are: Kraken Mare (K) with its big island Mayda Insula (I), the iconic and speculative Jingpo Lacus (J) and hazily seen Punga (P) and Ligeia (L) seas.
