List of scientific instruments of "Luna-Resource" and of "Luna-Glob" lander.
Just let the text be translated. Although I don't know whether this website (Luna-Resource project website; apparently still under construction) is reliable whatsoever, I do trust these are the instruments to be lifted. -------------------- "Go then, there are other worlds than these." - Jake of New York

You can learn more than you ever dreamed of about Luna-Glob and its companion Luna-Resurs (combined with Chandrayaan-2) on this site:

This just in... apparently Chandrayaan 2 will not be combined with Lune-Resurs any more. India will build its own lander for Chandrayaan 2 due to a delay with Luna-Resurs.

I guess two missions are better than one.
QUOTE "...PRL director Jitendra Goswami clarified that this did not mean that the Indo-Russian collaboration on planetary exploration had ended. Since Chandrayaan-2 was intended to be Roskosmos’ Luna-Glob moon exploration programme, the Russian agency may join hands with ISRO in any of its lunar missions, Dr. Murty said." Resource: The Hindu Nevertheless, I hope this means enough space was left for the possible rejoining of these two missions. That would guarantee some level of financial certainty for both. -------------------- "Go then, there are other worlds than these." - Jake of New York

It's hard to tell what is going on, as contradictory statements are now coming out of India. We'll have to wait and see.

I find the Chinese, Indian, and Russian programs hard to follow. There's often bursts of detailed information, but it's hard to separate out proposals from committed plans. In the case of the latter two programs, tight budgets may be a cause of more frequent replans than other programs have.
This lack of information is why I don't give these programs as much attention on my blog as they deserve. -------------------- |
