It reminds me, years ago I had to drag my twin girls in a buggy across Brighton beach. It is a particularly pebbly beach, and guess what? I had to go backwards too!! wheel.gif laugh.gif

I was zooming through one of the pans from sol 705 and came across this in the sand!
What with the Commonwealth Games going on, I wonder if there are any new entrants for the long jump in this new part of the Empire.
Handy that the planet is already red. laugh.gif

'Into The Valley'
Being an Englishman of 'a certain age' the only thing that comes to mind is the 1979 song by 'The Skids', no one could make out the lyrics, so Maxell, who made audio tape cassettes (God, how old am I ?)
used the fact to highlight their apparent reproductive quality in an iconic advert with Pete Murphy from Bauhaus.
They did this using a guy holding a plaque with the apparent 'lyrics' on it.
At the end,Pete said "Maxell, break the sound barrier"

I notice a lot of traffic today coming from the Hungarian news portal origo.hu, which has a long article celebrating MSL's first two years. Google translate provides some comedy:

Nerve-racking coming days on Mars, Mars reverses with

NASA's Curiosity rover is made by putting two years of ramp down on the red planet's surface to investigate habitability and organic material remains of past life look. So far, more than nine miles of rolling orbs in ancient kőzetfúrásai tóüledékeket, is found on the surface with a damp scrap material while stunning panoramas sent to the ground control center.
