Another giant has passed.

R is for Rocket, and B will always be for Bradbury for a great many fans of his work.

A few will take this knowledge and use this power of a dream realized as a force for change, an impetus for further discovery to make less ancient dreams real.

And he passed away on the day of the Venus transit...

I sure do hope that one day Ray Bradbury will get his wish: to be the "first dead person to be burried on Mars" (in a soup can).

Before that trip however, rest in peace on Earth for a while longer, Mr Bradbury.

I saw him many times at JPL and also in Paris where he used to spend at least a month each year...
We had lots of remembrances in France at TV and at radios during the past 24 hrs...
His "Martian Chronicles" novels compilation are a much-read classic here.
Dear Ray, I'm sure that one day you will name a s/c on Mars as a "Memorial Station"...
You were a talented poet-writer and we miss you sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
