The payload reminds me (in terms of design) of a network of baby comms sats that were launched via Pegasus some time ago.

Does anyone have a quick link to a tutorial on COSMIC's "GPS occultation" method? I've seen references to this, but do not understand...

hal_9000 did show one small image that for a moment looked like a golf club to me. Seems that mad idea at ISS have made me see things where they are not! (Go off in search of some reliable pills to prevent such in the future.)
