My update to sol 1939, using Paul's panorama for the location.

On sol 1942, Curiosity sailed the ocean blue... a nice drive to the southeast into rugged terrain.

Sol 1944, driving south and west a bit to look at the outcrops on the edge of the ridge.

Still on sol 1944, but an overview of the area showing the relationship between the actual path and the planned ascent route.

Update to sol 1946. A long drive of about 45m with a possible 180º turn at the start and one at the end (from Paul's panorama, a few hints in Damia's).

Thanks, Nogal. Your .kmz files are really useful.

Here is an update to sol 1946 showing us moving up a sort of terrace on the wall of the depression we were in at the last stop. I may update the route later.

Thank you Phil. I do appreciate it. You know that I include in the kmz all the names in your maps, plus several images.

From GE it is a bit difficult to "feel like you are there" and your circular projections, in particular, are quite helpful for me to create a mental image of the place. Please keep them coming! Cheers

Oh Sean this is priceless! Thank you.

Would it be possible to create a version with MSL's route on it? If needed I can send you the coordinates.

I could update with a new texture that uses Phil's route map if that's what you mean... I just need to find the time! I'm not exactly sure when my next stint on MSL is going to be.

Hi Sean,
Only later did I found out there already is a bit of the route map in it. When I create the KMZ file I use, in plotting the path, a collection of the path's points coordinates (latitude, longitude) in decimal degrees format. They can be extracted from the kmz file but it is not straightforward, so I was offering to send them, perhaps as a csv file. Thanks

I'm not sure if that would be any easier than just tracing an overlay of Phil's updates, but thanks for the offer!

Update to sol 1949, and another drive is scheduled for today.

One block of names at lower right is just floating - they are distant features, and I will locate them when I know more.
