Take a look at these… released as part of EPSC this week

As part of EPCS this week:

Hand assembled image mosaics of Io and Ganymede from Voyager in 1979.

Wow – really brings the sense of discovery as it happened. Love the Io hand assembled mosaic. Brings back the memory of how awesome a sight was Io – not what most geologists had predicted.

These were part of the opening shots that changed the geologic paradigm of that time.
These dead moons are alive geologically….. they became worlds in our sights …..
