Hi Sean,
Thank you for your kind words, advice and tips. Ah, and I should add all the lovely images and videos. You know about image processing, I only know such a thing exists. I was unaware of the openplanetarymap project. I'll take a good look at it. Cheers Fernando |

Thanks to Nogal for a lot of hard work on his very useful maps.
Here's my update to sol 1846. On the last drive I marked the position too far to the southeast, that is corrected here. I'm catching up after some travels - right now, back in my university office in Ontario (which needs a good clear-out). Phil -------------------- ... because the Solar System ain't gonna map itself.

I was away for a few days and unable to do any updates. So here is an update to sol 1850 (1853) with all of Phil's names in. Curiosity is about 50m from Kuruman's edge.

Finally! A drive... now I don't have to haul out my old wheel clamp image.
Looks like we moved about 25 m to the west. Phil -------------------- ... because the Solar System ain't gonna map itself.

From the path, it looks like the rover drivers have been drinking

Update to sol 1867. Another sharp turn on this [undoubtedly] science-driven path.

Or possibly the cartographer. As Fernando says, another sharp turn on sol 1867. Phil -------------------- ... because the Solar System ain't gonna map itself.

Phil Nope, the cartographer, the rover, and the drivers are (were) sober. Just a diversion for remote sensing. A short drive up the slope on sol 1871 - and I am correcting the previous position, which had been based only on Hazcam images.

A 20 m drive reported by Midnight Planets - I don't have images to support the location yet so this is just from the report, but all previous locations have been revised using the latest map update from JPL.
