Hello, this is Beth Dewell for the Mars Exploration Rover Flight Director report for Tuesday January 18th 2005.

Currently on Spirit we’re on sol 372 at the beginning of the morning. Over our three sol weekend plan on sol 369, 370 and 371 we did targeted remote science observations followed by a drive towards a target called ‘Keith’ on our continued way to Larry’s Lookout. The rover planners drive was so successful that we're directly in the work volume of ‘Keith’ and plan to IDD using the microscopic imager and APXS on sol 372.

On the other side of the planet on Opportunity we’re currently on sol 351 at the middle of the day. Over our three sol weekend plan on sol 349, 350 and 351 we brushed a target called ‘Quiver’[?] with a 60 Newton preload and then use the microscopic imager to take a two by two by one mosaic of this RAT-brushed area. We’ll then do a Moessbauer touch followed by a tool change and use the APXS for the third of our three sol plan.

And that’s what’s happening on Mars today.
