Actually, I don't see any recognizable patterns in either picture. Could you give us some background on this or a link? Another very distinctive pattern is Delphinus the Dolphin, a very compact grouping of stars which should be visible even if the stars are drawn without respect to magnitude. Since I don't see it in either picture, I don't think either one is a good representation of that sky.
