Voyager 2 flew by Saturn...
I was 10 years old, already fascinated with everything space, but I remember that event as the one that made me a solar system exploration (later unmanned solar system exploration) fan

I remember going to " Astro-fest " at U of M for Jim Louden's lectures in the Modern Language building

One of the few YOUNG teens there ( 13 in 81 )

Mainly for the slide shows
Then the lowbrows would pull out the 8 and 12 in scopes on the Observatory roof top .

Here's a couple of Titan images from Voyager 2 to "celebrate" the anniversary.



I was pleasantly surprised that applying the same processing as for Cassini gives the pretty familiar Titan color. Save for the massively higher noise levels, of course.
