UMSF Forum Members and Friends
I have been invited to give several talks at various locations in the NJ-NY-PA area for Winter/Spring 2006. Anyone in the area is cordially welcome to attend. PLease see list below. Last year I did about 20 presentations/displays on astronomy and space exploration. So far I've had the pleasure to meet several members and hope to meet more Periodically I will update this thread as new events unfold. Rittenhouse Astronomical Society: Philadelphia, PA Jan 11 (Wed) 2006 at 7:30 PM Fels Planetarium in the Franklin Institute "Exploring Mars and the Search for Life" Open to the public http://www.rittenhouseastronomicalsociety.org/ Lawrence Elementary School: Lawrenceville, NJ Jan 27 (Fri) 2006 at 7 PM "Science and Discovery Night" Open to the public http://www.ltps.org/PAGES/LES/LESHome.htm Rockland Astronomy Club (RAC): Blauvelt, NY Feb 11 (Sat) 2006 at 6 PM, annual dinner meeting "Mars, Saturn, Comets and Beyond!" http://www.rocklandastronomy.com/ New Jersey Astronomical Association (NJAA): High Bridge, NJ Paul Robinson Observatory Mar 25 (Sat) 2006 at 8:30 PM "Exploring Mars and the Search for Life" and "Mars and Saturn in 3D" 3D glasses will be provided. Open to the public http://www.njaa.org/ Washington Crossing State Park Interpretive Center, Titusville, NJ April 2 (Sun) at 1:30 PM "A Tour of Our New Solar System" Open to the public http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests...s/washcros.html They are all free except for the dinner talk.
