I read somewhere (can't remember where) that they are planning to release ALL the images from the high resolution camera. Can any one confirm this?

Yup - I belive that's the plan - and at least one observation per week will be from a public suggestion - but before we all subit them - I'd imagine all the landing sites are high priority already
