In year's past I've posted a seasonally themed poem or song.
Here's the latest offering. Remember to sing it with gusto and amuse your space-geek friends! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LET US ROVE! (sung to the tune of "Let it Snow!") Oh the weather on Mars is frightful, But the sights are so delightful, And since we've more exploring to go, Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Oppy's show'n no signs of stopping, While the temps on Mars are dropping. Under Sol's pale yellow glow, Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! When Opportunity stops for night, And waits for the light of the dawn, As the rest of us say goodnight, Inside her WEB will be warm. Opportunity keeps surprising, And, we all, watch her, admiring. For as long as she can go, Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Oppy's show'n no signs of stopping, While the temps on Mars are dropping. Under Sol's pale yellow glow, Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Oh, Let Us Rove! Inside her WEB will be warm. Inside her WEB will be warm. Opportunity keeps surprising, And, we all, watch her, admiring. For as long as she can go, Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Oh, Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Oh, Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! Let Us Rove! |

I wish everyone here a MER-ry Christmas and an Oppy New Year.
(I now await the inevitable link pointing out someone that came up with this years ago). |
