Some spectacular de-noising of RADAR maps of Titan was done in this paper. For those with JGR access (couldn't find a free version): http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002...004584/abstract

A Google search for "de-noising of RADAR maps of Titan" gave this link to PDF: http://www.lpi.usra.edu/meetings/lpsc2012/pdf/2566.pdf
