Relating to Venus SAR maps.
Anyone know how to convert C1-MIDRs which were made sinusodal to cylindrical mapping? My understanding is C1-MIDRs were made from F-BIDRs which I dont think you can find online to work with. Mapaplanet uses FMAPs which I have discovered surprisingly arent always the most complete. The software including on the CDs for FMAPs converts from Sinusodal to Cylindrical but doesnt work with C1-MIDRs. (Siravans newmap.exe version didnt work either) the example of my problem is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sacajawe...ra_PIA00485.jpg this is C1-MIDR of sacajawea patera in sinusodal which I would need converted to cylindrical. It is a nice complete image of the area. If I try to use mapaplanet.org, both cylindrical and sinusodal results shows this area with big black bar next to sacajawea indicating missing areas as well as some visual manglement in the cylindrical version which I dont like or want. This is what leads me to believe Mapaplanet isnt as perfect a program as I would like. Anyone know how to convert C1-MIDRs which were made sinusodal to cylindrical mapping? Thanks |
