Update to sol 2804.
As Phil says, MSL is staying put for a few sols, while new software is installed (link). Fernando The_Martian_Way_MSL_Curiosity_Sol_2804_2020JUN27.kmz ( 790.77K ) Number of downloads: 527 |

Nice! For some reason (my inability?) I prefer to see it with my desktop. Fernando Thank you, I am glad to hear that it is working fine on desktop too, but it is still way easier to zoom in onto the rover in phone version. Anyway, here is regular map update to sol 2804, this time in RGB color. I will also update 3d version shortly. Jaka |

Nice map!
Here is my update to sol 2813. I expected a drive to the southeast but it was northeast instead. There are some nice-looking rock layers in that direction. Phil -------------------- ... because the Solar System ain't gonna map itself.

I used Paul's panorama to locate the sol 2816 position. One of those prominent ledges to the east may be the next drill stop.

Dear Curioisity, please stop driving north. I don't want to have to redesign my whole page.
Update to sol 2824, using Jan's panorama, with a few corrections to the earlier path from the JPL maps. Phil -------------------- ... because the Solar System ain't gonna map itself.

Update to sol 2824.
Curiosity just passed the 24km marker. I've added a flag but may need to review the location. Also added the 14 mi marker. Fernando The_Martian_Way_MSL_Curiosity_Sol_2824_2020JUL19.kmz ( 796K ) Number of downloads: 342 |

My map update to sol 2829. I forgot to add the distance marker Nogal mentioned, i will get to it next time. I had just enough flexibility to fit this in the map without a major layout change.

Here is an update to sol 2873. Curiosity has been busy in this location since sol 2829 but meanwhile the Planetary Data System has issued a new data release, included in this update.
Data taken from the PDS Release 24 includes: - Path data for sols 0-2783 (the full path has been reviewed and updated) - Analyst's Notebook data for sols 1-2713 Phil's sketch of the drilling at the Mary Anning block is also included. Here is an update to sol 2873. Curiosity has been busy in this location since sol 2829 The data from the site must be pretty promising since they wanted to put lots of distance behind them as they headed to the sulfate layer. And they are using one of the wet sample capsules in the GCMS. Anyone been keeping track of how many of these they have used? -------------------- |
