Just a minor nitpick. Mir ("peace") is a Russian word, not an acronym.

"Mir" has more than one meaning in Russian. I think the more applicable one here would best be translated into English as "community."

Is there an "official" Russian space website that maintains a history of its glorious Soviet past? One that Google could massage into Engrish for me? RSW seems to be one of the best, but it is independent.
