I think this might be interesting, mostly to my fellow Italians. I will be taking the opportunity (no pun intended) of Solar Conjunction to fly to Italy and the UK to give a series of talks about my work on MER and MSL (mostly MSL). Places marked with (#) will include a more detailed talk on my work on landing site selection for MSL. If you are in the area and you are interested here's the list of places I will be talking:

Apr 03 Gruppo Astrofili, Tesero (TN) http://www.astrofilifiemme.it/

Apr 04 Liceo Rosmini a Rovereto (TN) - This is my old High School! http://www.liceorosmini.eu/
I will then meet a group of young robotics students at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Povo (TN) http://www.fbk.eu/

Apr 06 Planetario Hoepli, Milan http://www.comune.milano.it/dseserver/webc...=SVIY-5HNGA3_HP

Apr 07 Museo delle Scienze, Milan http://www.museoscienza.org/

Apr 08 (#) Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Torino http://shr.iit.it/

Apr 09 Istituto d'Istruzione Alcide Degasperi, Borgo Valsugana (TN) http://www.istalcidedegasperi.it

Apr 10 Liceo Rainerum, Bolzano http://www.rainerum.it/

Apr 11 (#) Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Povo (TN) http://www.fbk.eu/
Afternoon at Liceo Galilei, Trento https://www.lsgalilei.org/

Apr 12 (#) Morning at Universita' di Padova http://www.geoscienze.unipd.it/
Afternoon at Liceo Copernico a Bologna http://www.copernico.bo.it/

If you've not been to the RSC before you'll love it Paolo!
I'd get down to it as I'm only an hour and a bit away by train, but I'm doing a PhD viva that day - I suppose I can rush it ;-)
I see the event is advertised on their website at
http://www.rsc.org/ConferencesAndEvents/co...cfm?evid=113187
though annoyingly it doesn't (as far as I can see anyhow) get a mention in their monthly Chemistry World magazine (or the accompanying news/events mag) even though the former does have a big article on Curiosity's chemistry capabilities/results under their "jobs in chemistry" type section!

Ciao Paolo, congrats for your activities (I will try to hear your Rome presentation). Today, the italian radiophonic science program "Radio3 scienza" dedicated the entire issue to Cuoriosity and its internet/social-media followers, with interviews to Paolo and Doug E. too!
