I thought it might be fun to overlay the route map information on the HiRise anaglyph of the Home Plate area. Eduardo Tesheiner graciously gave me permission to lift the route and place name information from his wonderful and extremely useful route map, so that I might use it as an overlay. Thanks, Tesh. I've changed some color and applied some affects to try to make the planar overlay appear less jarring in the 3D anaglyph. I hope some of you find this useful.

Here is another update to the map up to sol 1354.
Note that the last two positions might be slightly updated once we have images again on the net; they were plotted based completely on the own rover's mobility data.

Edit: Updated!

This is the latest route map update, including the small bump on sol 1359 and a few additional ground features.

This is the latest route map update

Thanks for the update Tesheiner and enjoy the long weekend!
For me it is also Friday... cool.gif
I presume that 2/3 of the Spanish population will be in Sintra for the weekend as usual... rolleyes.gif

After reading the last Planetary Society MER update, I've been wondering about the other Spirit wintering-over spot that was being considered...the place they were calling "South Promontory." I'm not sure, but I am guessing South Promontory may be the feature we have named the "saddle."

Here is Spirit at her latest position after sol 1373.
Consider this as a "draft" version because I'm off the town and without access to my usual tools.
