Unmanned Spaceflight.com _ Mars Express & Beagle 2 _ Mars Express Perspectives

Posted by: swhobbs Feb 13 2009, 05:30 AM

Hi everyone,

This is my very first post to this forum. I've been experimenting with Mars Express DTMs and have been able to create a number of perspective images from Mars Express orbital imagery as well as lower resolution Viking imagery.

Regards,

Steve

Those are lovely images Stephen, and some fantastic space art on your website, too. (Great Oppy pic! smile.gif ) Look forward to seeing more.

And "welcome aboard" from me, too. smile.gif

Looks like you're having more luck that I did in the other HRSC Dem thread. What are you using, Terragen?

Very pretty! Lovely layering in the 'hill' in that left image.

I started off using Terragen, then Terragen 2 which so far for me hasn't been quite what I hoped for. In the end I used humble Lightwave and Photoshop with a Mars GIS I have. They take hours to prepare but the actual rendering is quite fast.
