Just had a great visit from Dr Alan Stern, PI for New Horizons.
He gave a fantastic presentation to the personnel at the Canberra DSN station and had discussions with some of our engineers about our support for New Horizons, especially during its close encounter with Pluto in 2015.

He's also been busy today doing some media/outreach work and is giving a few presentations here in Canberra tonight and in Sydney tomorrow. I am planning to do a brief interview with him this afternoon which I hope to share with you all soon. He's then back off home on Friday after a whirlwind tour downunder.

Here's a photo of Dr Stern with our Director, Dr Miriam Baltuck with the 70-metre antenna in the background.
Great guy, great mission!
